This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may access or process, how that information may be used, and what choices are available to you.
Data Collection
Luma PDF Scanner Launcher may access or process the following categories of information when required for available app features:
- document images you capture with the camera, and the processed scans, crops, rotation, filters, and page arrangements created from them;
- recognized text produced when OCR or text search is enabled, and the search terms you use inside your documents;
- PDF and image files you import, save, rename, move, export, print, or share through the app, together with file names, sizes, page counts, and created or modified dates;
- document metadata such as the title, labels, folders, tags, and the scan date shown in your library;
- app preferences such as theme, language, default page size, export quality, launcher layout, widget settings, and notification choices;

The app requests camera access to scan pages, photos or media access to import images and save documents, and may request notification access for scan progress and results. Overlay access may be requested for floating scan controls, launcher and wallpaper access for its home screen, and network and network-state access for online services such as ads, analytics, or update checks. The app does not need your contacts, call logs, or messages and does not read them.
Data Use
Information accessed or processed by Luma PDF Scanner Launcher may be used to:

- build, rename, organize, and display PDF documents and page thumbnails in your library;

- display launcher pages, widgets, shortcuts to recent scans, and supported default-home functionality if you choose to use them;
- remember scan defaults, export quality, theme, language, and other preferences;
- improve compatibility, performance, stability, diagnostics, security, and user support;
- support advertising, attribution, analytics, update checks, or crash reporting if such services are included in the distributed app version.
We do not sell personal or sensitive personal data. Scanned document images and recognized text are not uploaded to us, are not used to train models by us, and are not used by us for advertising.
Data Processing and Storage
Scanning, cropping, enhancement, PDF creation, and OCR are performed on your device. Document images and recognized text are not transmitted to our servers. Files are saved in the app's storage or in a location you choose, and they remain there until you delete them or remove the app.
Thumbnails, OCR indexes, and library metadata are stored locally so the app can display and search your documents quickly. They can be removed by deleting the related document, clearing the app data, or removing the app.
If you choose to export, print, or share a document, the destination app or service handles the file under its own privacy policy. If third-party advertising, attribution, analytics, or crash-reporting services are included in the app version you use, those providers may receive limited technical or identifier information; they do not receive your scanned pages.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information handled through the app. Data sent to service providers, if any, should be handled using modern security protections such as HTTPS or similar safeguards.
Third-Party Services
Luma PDF Scanner Launcher may include third-party services for app distribution, advertising, attribution, analytics, crash reporting, infrastructure, or support. Based on the reviewed app bundle, such services may include Google Play related services and one or more advertising or measurement SDKs used by the distributed app version.Those services may process limited device, app, usage, advertising, attribution, or diagnostic information according to their own privacy policies. They do not receive your scanned documents or recognized text. Any PDF viewer, cloud drive, or print service you choose when exporting is governed by that provider's terms.
User Rights and Data Deletion
You can manage app permissions through your device settings, including camera, photos or media, storage, notifications, overlay, and default-home or launcher choices where supported by Android. Revoking camera access disables scanning until you grant it again.
You can delete individual documents inside the app, which also removes their locally stored pages and thumbnails. You can delete your whole library by clearing the app data in your device settings or by removing the app from your device. Files you exported to another folder, cloud drive, or app must be deleted there.
If you contact us with a privacy request, please email [email protected] and include enough detail for us to understand your request. If the app does not provide account creation, account deletion is not required because no app account is created by Luma PDF Scanner Launcher.
Children's Privacy
Luma PDF Scanner Launcher is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because scanned documents may contain personal or confidential information, parents and guardians should supervise use by younger users. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
